ABOUT MARTY ROTHSTEIN
Marty was always the "Business Guy", as he calls himself, a marketing specialist who may have secretly acknowledged his creative side, but never offered it up to the public.
He bought his first camera when he married Marsha, and discovered that the paramount dynamic of photography was between art and science: Getting the creative concept, and then doing the technical work to best enhance it.
Infatuated by landscape photography, and inspired by impressionist paintings during his travels to France, he set upon the objective of trying to tease depth and texture out of a two-dimensional medium. The ideal result would be something bold and innovative.
After over thirty-years of taking photographs for himself, Marty realized that Cedar Creek could be the perfect venue for his work. And he was ready to show it. He would have his own gallery, and share what he loved to do.
ABOUT THE STUDIO/ GALLERY
Cedar Creek Farm is home to the Gallery and is Marty's refuge from the city; a retreat that liberates his soul, inspiring the creativity to capture the beauty of natural landscapes in Caledon and the world.
